Pollinator Blue Zones
Collaborators: NASA Develop
Partnering with NASA Develop, the Pollinator Blue Zones project aims to overlay Best Bees’ comprehensive database of bee health and satellite-based environmental data to measure the impact of environmental changes on agricultural production and food security.
Using NASA Earth Observations, we’re able to collect images, with cameras allowing us to visually see earth from space. These factors include: thermal radiation, precipitation, infrared and other non-visible light sources. The NASA Develop project aimed to provide end-users with a way to visualize some of the factors associated with bee health from space.
In this webinar, Noah Wilson-Rich Ph.D. and Darcy Gray, a Fellow in the NASA DEVELOP Program, explore the importance of studying bees and how NASA is addressing environmental and policy concerns through the practical application of NASA Earth observations.
